About Our Founder

Mr. Richard Herold, now deceased, founded this firm in 1980. Mr. Herold specialized in trust and estate planning and administration. His counseling included the design of sophisticated tax sensitive documents, which also recognized the importance of family and business relationships in the lives of his clients. He had been a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel since 1978, and had lectured both lay and professional groups.

A long-time contributing columnist to Recorder Publishing Company newspapers, he had also published both professional and general commentaries in numerous legal publications and newspapers.

Mr. Herold served for many years as Vice Chair of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics. He had also served as a Trustee, former President, and Trustee Emeritus of the Bonnie Brae Educational Center.

He served in the U.S. Navy to the rank of Lieutenant and saw combat in Korea.
