Biography

George A. McGowan, III, focuses his practice on the representation and counseling of individuals in all areas of trust and estate planning, administration and related legal matters. Mr. McGowan also has years of experience representing corporate clients of all sizes in matters of commercial law, business organizations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, contract negotiations, drafting agreements, legal analysis, and technology contracts. He has represented clients on financing transactions, including secured, unsecured, specialty and mezzanine financing with banks and other financing entities.

George also handles real estate purchases and sales as well as leasing agreements. Before joining the firm, Mr. McGowan litigated civil and criminal cases before working in house for two publicly traded companies in the Finance and IT departments of the General Counsel.

George worked in-house for a data center and start up technology companies before returning to private practice. He earned his B. S. in Finance and Marketing at Manhattan College and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. After law school graduation, Mr. McGowan was law clerk to the Honorable Patrick J. McGann, Jr., Superior Court, Chancery Division: General Equity and Probate, Monmouth County, New Jersey. While in law school, Mr. McGowan worked as a law intern with the Honorable Daniel Moore in the United States Bankruptcy Court in Newark, N.J.
